Organic Earth, the Hove based health food market, is a proud member of the Healthy Foods and Fairtrade Network. By working with responsible producers, and spreading knowledge and information about natural, trustworthy, and ethical products, Organic Earth aims to recapture the sense of community around food that was lost to the industrialisation of food production.
Their commitment to moral business practices and tasty, nutritious produce has made Organic Earth an ideal host partner for City Food Share's Tap & Share campaign. Throughout lockdown, Organic Earth has worked to provide fresh, high quality, ethically sourced to their customers, all the while helping CFS to raise vital funds for local food charities.
Ender, Store manager at Organic Earth, had this to say about lockdown, food poverty and the Tap & Share campaign -
"After Covid-19 and the many lockdowns we've been through, the situation around Brighton and Hove has escalated very quickly but, at the same time, it has been amazing to see how many people stepped up to help. It's been a challenge, we were dealing with a new business while dealing with as surreal an experience as a global pandemic. We kept working hard and improving ourselves constantly, and we have received amazing support from the area and we tried our best to give it back. We had a very positive response to our Tap & Share unit, and most customers have been very happy to help out through the campaign, it's easy and quick and people like that. Food banks are always in need of supplies so we always invite everyone to donate and the campaign really made us feel like part of the solution.
So stop by Organic Earth on Church Road for their freshly baked organic pastries and new range of vegan and organic ethical cosmetics, and don't forget to Tap & Share while you're in store. City Food Share is so grateful to Organic Earth and all our other host partners for their continued support in the fight against food poverty, and we hope you will support Organic Earth in their missions to grow and strengthen the Healthy Foods and Fairtrade Network.
